Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011), spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015 as well as the White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki was an CNN political commentator from 2017 through 2020. Her career in politics began in 2001, when she was working on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrat running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was then named deputy press secretary to John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was the communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as press secretary for the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. [20] Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. The speculations that she would replace Jay Carney White House Press secretary when he left White House in the year 21 were fueled by her hiring by the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as the replacement for Carney on May 30 the 30th of May, 2014. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the communications director, and she remained there until the conclusion of Obama's presidency.
