Lara Logan
Lara Logan, born 29/03/71 is a South African television journalist and war reporter. She was a correspondent for CBS News between 2002 and 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager called her factually incorrect and politcally slanted story on the 2012 Benghazi attack "the most erroneous mistake I've made in my 10-year watch." She was a part of the Sinclair Broadcast Group in 2019, a conservative media company. The company was acquired by Fox Nation, a subscription streaming platform owned by Fox News, in January 2020. She claimed she was "dumped" by Fox Nation in March 2022. Logan worked as a journalist for the Sunday Tribune of Durban during her studies (1988-1989) which was followed by the Daily News of the city (1990-1992). In 1992 she joined Reuters Television Africa as a senior producer. After four years, she began freelance journalism. Reporter, editor and producer assignments for ITN, Fox/SKY News, CBS News (in London), ABC News (in Nairobi), NBC and European Broadcasting Union were all given to her. Reporting on major events, such as the bombings that took place in 1998 at the United States Embassy in Nairobi and Tanzania as well as the conflict within Northern Ireland and the Kosovo war, she was employed by CNN.
